Underoath bring their Define the Great Line 20th Anniversary Tour to MTELUS in Montréal on November 28, 2026. Formed in Florida in 1997, the band carved a metalcore and post-hardcore blend built on jagged guitars, a push-pull between screams and clean melodies, and a strong use of synths. With Spencer Chamberlain fronting alongside drummer-vocalist Aaron Gillespie, they shifted from heavier early roots toward the atmospheric density and intricate structures that shaped 2006’s Define the Great Line. Two decades on, they revisit that era with a set leaning into tension, release and synth-laced weight.

August Burns Red add their precise, muscular take on metalcore. Since emerging from Pennsylvania in the mid-2000s, they’ve balanced technical riffing from JB Brubaker, tight drumming by Matt Greiner and Jake Luhrs’s vocals, threading melody through staccato rhythms and hefty breakdowns. From Messengers and Constellations to Phantom Anthem, Guardians and 2023’s Death Below, their catalog moves between direct hits and more expansive, progressive turns.

Emery rounds out the bill with post-hardcore rooted in emo and melodic hardcore. Active since the early 2000s, they pivot between clean hooks, grit and dual vocal interplay, from The Weak’s End and The Question to later chapters like Eve, White Line Fever and Rub Some Dirt on It. Their live set trades on dynamic shifts, harmonies and a rawer edge built for the stage.
