The Plot In You

Formed in the early 2010s in Hancock County, Ohio, The Plot In You coalesced around singer and songwriter Landon Tewers—initially as a side project—before becoming a full-fledged band rooted in the American metalcore scene. The band’s early releases, notably First Born (2011) and Could You Watch Your Children Burn (2013), leaned into dense metalcore with alternating harsh and clean vocals, and songwriting focused on dark, personal narratives. With Happiness in Self Destruction (2015), the project broadened its palette toward more melodic post-hardcore, incorporating more restrained atmospheres and a pronounced emphasis on texture. The shift was cemented on Dispose (2018) and Swan Song (2021), where The Plot In You blend alternative metal, modern rock influences, and electronic elements while retaining a strong emotional and introspective core. Active across North American and European tours, the band has established itself as an ever-evolving project with Landon Tewers remaining its principal creative driver.
