A Day To Remember
Formed in 2003 in Ocala, Florida, A Day To Remember developed at the intersection of pop-punk, metalcore and post-hardcore, crafting songs that alternate melodic choruses, punk rhythms and heavier hardcore passages. Initially active on the local scene, the band released And Their Name Was Treason in 2005 and For Those Who Have Heart in 2007 after drummer Alex Shelnutt joined. With Homesick (2009) and What Separates Me from You (2010), A Day To Remember refined a formula combining clean vocals, immediate song structures and breakdowns—often associated with easycore. Guitarist Tom Denney's departure in 2009, and his replacement by Kevin Skaff, changed the lineup without altering the musical direction. After a contractual dispute with Victory Records, A Day To Remember self-released Common Courtesy in 2013, then followed with Bad Vibrations (2016), You're Welcome (2021) and Big Ole Album Vol. 1 (2025). Centered on singer Jeremy McKinnon, the band has moved between punk, metal and alternative rock stages, from Warped Tour to Download, and on joint tours with Blink-182, Bring Me the Horizon and Rise Against.
