Info
On 18 September 2026, Islington Assembly Hall in London hosts Gaerea with Conjurer. Formed in Porto in 2016, Gaerea have built a singular space in contemporary extreme metal. Performing masked, they keep identities in the background to let an oppressive, inward-looking mood take the front of the stage. From an early EP through the albums Unsettling Whispers and Limbo, the band shaped a modern, emotionally charged strain of black metal, where ferocity collides with wide, atmospheric breaks and a stark, almost cinematic sense of darkness. Their third album, Mirage, pushes intensity and rhythmic intricacy while keeping a clear melodic line. Live, Gaerea lean on a precise visual language and a strong sense of narrative, turning each set into a continuous, pressurised journey rather than a string of isolated tracks.
Sharing the bill is Conjurer, a metal band from the UK. Together they anchor a night rooted in the current pulse of heavy music, with Gaerea’s immersive black metal at its core at Islington Assembly Hall.
