Nordjevel

Formed in Norway in 2015 around vocalist Christian “Doedsadmiral” Anfinnsen Øien, Nordjevel sits in the Scandinavian black metal tradition with a direct, dark and abrasive approach, driven by cold riffs, fast drumming and a martial atmosphere. The band took shape with Jørn “Nord” Øyhus and Fredrik Widigs, then gradually stabilized its lineup with the arrival of Svein-Ivar “DzeptiCunt” Sarassen, before later adding Thor Anders “Destructhor” Myhren and Nils “Dominator” Fjellström, musicians who have also passed through other Nordic extreme groups. After a self-titled debut album in 2015, Nordjevel expanded its range with the Krigsmakt EP in 2017, then Necrogenesis in 2019, where the band refined a black metal that is dry, tense and more developed in its structures. In 2021, the Fenriir EP extended this trajectory, ahead of the release of Gnavhòl in 2022 on Indie Recordings. Nordjevel has performed on stages and at festivals in Europe and the United States, with documented appearances notably at Hellfest and Wacken Open Air, within a frame that ties the band to the continuity of contemporary Norwegian black metal. In January 2025, Nordjevel announced a pause for an indefinite period.
