Five Finger Death Punch

Born on the Las Vegas metal scene in the mid-2000s, Five Finger Death Punch formed in 2005 around guitarist Zoltan Bathory and drummer Jeremy Spencer, soon joined by vocalist Ivan Moody, whose voice became the band's focal point. Rooted in a blend of heavy metal, groove metal, hard rock and elements of alternative metal, Five Finger Death Punch developed a sound built on massive riffs, melodic choruses and straightforward rhythms, with lyrics addressing anger, trauma, social tensions and ties to the military. The debut album, The Way of the Fist (2007), established the band on the American metal scene, followed by War Is the Answer (2009) and American Capitalist (2011), which confirmed a steady production pace. In 2013, the two volumes of The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell marked a period of strong international exposure, followed by Got Your Six (2015) and And Justice for None (2018). F8 (2020) and AfterLife (2022) continued this line, with Five Finger Death Punch now built around Bathory, Moody, bassist Chris Kael, drummer Charlie Engen and guitarist Andy James, active on major North American and European tours and present at the principal festivals dedicated to contemporary metal.
