Bring Me The Horizon
Founded in Sheffield, England, in 2004, Bring Me The Horizon first emerged on the British metal scene with an aggressive strain of deathcore, before evolving toward metalcore and later an alternative rock sound heavily infused with electronics and pop. The band coalesced around vocalist Oliver Sykes, guitarist Lee Malia, bassist Matt Kean, and drummer Matt Nicholls, undergoing several lineup changes and periodically bringing in keyboardists and programmers to broaden its sonic palette. Following the debut album Count Your Blessings (2006) and Suicide Season (2008), the discography shifted toward more melodic and atmospheric structures with There Is a Hell Believe Me I’ve Seen It. There Is a Heaven Let’s Keep It a Secret. (2010), then Sempiternal (2013), before exploring a more accessible rock direction on That’s the Spirit (2015) and Amo (2019). The projects Post Human: Survival Horror (2020) and Post Human: Nex Gen (2024) extend this hybridization of heavy guitars, sung choruses, and emo, trap, or electronic influences, supported by collaborations with artists such as Yungblud and Babymetal and by a steady live presence at major international rock festivals, where Bring Me The Horizon refines a repertoire designed as much for concert halls as for arenas.
