Caskets

Hailing from Leeds, UK, Caskets inhabit the melodic metalcore/post‑hardcore space, where massive guitars, sung choruses and more electronic‑leaning atmospheres intersect. Formed in the late 2010s and initially active as Captives, the band adopted its current name in 2020 before signing with SharpTone Records. Driven by Matt Flood’s clear, expressive vocals, the group strikes a balance between percussive riffs, synth‑laden textures and structures that nod to alternative pop, with lyrics focused on personal vulnerability, relationships and resilience. After a run of singles that established them within the UK metalcore landscape, Caskets released Lost Souls in 2021, marked by highly melodic writing, followed in 2023 by Reflections, which further heightens the contrasts between heavier passages and introspective arrangements. Active on touring circuits across the UK and Europe, Caskets have secured a lasting place among the new generation of melodic metalcore bands.
