The Barr Brothers bring their Let It Hiss Tour to Danforth Music Hall, 147 Danforth Avenue, Toronto, on February 13, 2026. Founded by brothers Brad and Andrew Barr after settling in Montréal, the band crafts a folk and indie sound built on inventive guitar work, detailed percussion and a taste for subtle experimentation. Their early records with harpist Sarah Pagé added a hypnotic edge, from the dream‑folk of their self‑titled debut to the broader palette of Sleeping Operator and the melodic reach of Queens of the Breakers. On stage, the group moves between hushed storytelling and layered grooves with a patient sense of dynamics.
Land Of Talk, the project led by singer and guitarist Elizabeth Powell, joins the bill with a lean, guitar‑driven indie rock that leans into dreamier textures without losing clarity. From the first EP Applause Cheer Boo Hiss through Some Are Lakes and Cloak and Cipher, then the later Life After Youth and Indistinct Conversations, Powell has kept the writing direct while letting the arrangements breathe. Expect sharp riffs, gentle swells and a voice that cuts through with ease.
