Twen

Formed in Boston in 2016 before settling in Nashville, Twen brings together Jane Fitzsimmons and Ian Jones in a project built between the DIY scene, pop songwriting, and guitars with psychedelic edges. The duo emerged with the EP TWEN LIVE ’16, released in 2016, and then refined a sound located between indie rock, dream pop, and pop-rock, with songs that blend sharp melodies, electric tension, and cloudier textures. Twen first develops its trajectory on local stages and in independent circuits, before gaining visibility with SXSW performances in 2019 and the release of their debut album Awestruck the same year on Frenchkiss Records. The group then evolves its approach toward a more mobile and contrasted writing on One Stop Shop in 2022, self-produced via its own label, where references to psychedelic rock, Britpop, and a sharper pop can be found. In 2025, Twen releases Fate Euphoric, extending this aesthetic shift with new wave accents and a stronger penchant for direct choruses, without breaking with the indie background of the early days. Driven by the complementarity between Fitzsimmons' voice and Jones' guitar and production work, Twen moves forward as a duo with variable geometry, surrounded at different periods by additional musicians in the studio or on stage.
