Tyler Ballgame
Based in Los Angeles, Tyler Ballgame develops a singer-songwriter craft nourished by orchestrated pop and folk from the 1960s and 1970s. His approach mixes acoustic songs, indie pop with a retro grain and a very present vocal delivery, in a lineage that points to Roy Orbison, Leonard Cohen, Harry Nilsson or Paul Simon. Tyler Ballgame began to emerge publicly in 2024, the year that saw releases such as "Radio" and "Help Me Out", and when his name quickly spread beyond the local scene. This initial phase of his career is accompanied by a signing with Rough Trade Records and studio work with producers Jonathan Rado and Ryan Pollie. In his tracks, Tyler Ballgame favors measured arrangements, direct songwriting and a form of pop nostalgia that leans on the codes of classic songwriting without seeking reconstruction, between clear melodies, flexible tempos and songs built around the voice.
