Oliver Heldens

Born in Rotterdam in 1995, Oliver Heldens rose to prominence in the early 2010s as a Dutch house producer and DJ operating at the intersection of future house, electro house and electronic pop. Discovered by Spinnin’ Records while still a teenager, he broke through with the instrumental single “Gecko” in 2013 and its vocal version “Gecko (Overdrive)” in 2014, featuring British singer Becky Hill. His productions mix prominent basslines, accessible melodies and arrangements designed for large stages, quickly taking him onto the international club and EDM festival circuit. From 2015 he launched his own label, Heldeep Records, and the Heldeep Radio show, which served as platforms for his tracks and those of other house producers. At the same time he developed the HI-LO project, an alias under which he explores a darker, more minimal side close to techno and tech house, while remaining active under his real name with dance-oriented singles and collaborations with various European and North American DJs.
