Duke Dumont

Born in Harrow, London, Adam Dyment, known as Duke Dumont, has built a career rooted in British house, spanning deep house, tech house and club-oriented electronic pop. Active since the second half of the 2000s, Duke Dumont first drew attention with remixes for Lily Allen, Bat for Lashes, Mystery Jets, AlunaGeorge and Santigold, after an early career supported by Switch. His initial releases, the Regality EP (2007) and The Dominion Dubs EP (2008), established a precise approach focused on house rhythms and direct melodic lines, before the For Club Play Only series launched in 2012. His trajectory broadened with tracks such as Need U (100%) (2013) featuring AME, I Got U (2014) with Jax Jones, Won’t Look Back (2014) and Ocean Drive (2015), where his club sensibility opened up to brighter textures, sometimes edging toward disco, electronic R&B or synth-pop. Founder of the Blasé Boys Club label, Duke Dumont alternates personal productions, vocal collaborations and DJ work in a style that links dancefloor effectiveness with a more atmospheric songwriting. His debut album, Duality, was released in 2020.
