Eric Prydz

Hailing from Täby near Stockholm, Swedish producer and DJ Eric Prydz (born 1976) emerged in the early 2000s on the European house scene before gaining international attention with the single “Call on Me” in 2004. Rooted in a progressive house aesthetic that blends long melodic builds, rhythmic tension, and synthetic atmospheres, he developed several aliases in parallel, including Pryda for a more melodic approach and Cirez D for a darker, more minimal techno side. After a run of EPs and remixes—notably “Proper Education” in 2006, built around a Pink Floyd track, and “Pjanoo” in 2008—he consolidated his artistic universe with the compilation “Eric Prydz Presents Pryda” in 2012, followed by his debut studio album, “Opus,” in 2016. Having spent time in London and later Los Angeles, he founded the labels Pryda Recordings and Mouseville to release his own productions as well as those of artists from his scene. Active both in clubs and at major festivals, he designs immersive audiovisual shows such as the EPIC and later HOLO series, which extend the progressive, cinematic aesthetic of his tracks onto the stage.
