Fedde Le Grand

Dutch producer and DJ Fedde Le Grand, born in 1977 in Utrecht, emerged in the early 2000s on the Netherlands’ club scene before gradually expanding his activity internationally. Rooted in the European house culture, he developed a sound that sits between house, electro house and progressive influences, characterized by strongly rhythmic structures, pronounced bass lines and frequent use of synthetic melodies and pop vocals. The release of the single “Put Your Hands Up 4 Detroit” in 2006 placed him at the center of the electro-house wave, followed by a series of maxi singles and remixes that circulated widely in clubs. His first album, “Output,” released in 2009, collected this aesthetic in long-form, alternating between instrumental tracks designed for the dancefloor and vocal pieces closer to electronic pop. Fedde Le Grand subsequently multiplied collaborations with other European producers — notably on tracks like “Let Me Think About It” with Ida Corr or “Sparks (Turn Off Your Mind)” with Nicky Romero — while maintaining an active output as a remixer. Performing on many club and festival stages across Europe, North America and Asia, he adapts his energetic house productions into DJ sets that blend his own tracks with a selection oriented toward contemporary dance music.
