Axwell
As Axwell, Swedish DJ and producer Axel Christofer Hedfors, born in Lund in 1977 and based in Stockholm, has developed since the late 1990s a melodic approach to house and progressive house, often tinged with pop elements and accessible vocal writing. Initially active as a solo artist with a series of maxis and remixes on the European scene, Axwell gained attention in the mid-2000s with tracks like "Feel the Vibe (’Til the Morning Comes)" and "I Found U", which established his signature of progressive buildups, bright synth lines and club-ready structures. At the same time he founded the label Axtone Records in 2005, which became the main outlet for his productions and collaborations with other house producers. His career reached new heights in the late 2000s with the formation of the trio Swedish House Mafia alongside Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, releasing the albums "Until One" (2010), "Until Now" (2012) and "Paradise Again" (2022). After the group's initial hiatus, Axwell continued his work as one half of Axwell Λ Ingrosso, while still producing and remixing under his own name and alternating between major festival stages and clubs — a back-and-forth that has fed the evolution of his sound between radio formats and dance culture.
