Tchami

Under the name Tchami, French producer and DJ Martin Bresso from Paris emerged in the early 2010s with a melodic, dark house often linked to future house and drawing on deep house, garage and gospel touches. Tracks such as "Promesses", "After Life" and "Adieu" quickly established Tchami's aesthetic — club-ready efficiency, supple bass, airy pads and a pronounced use of vocals. His career has since unfolded in clubs and on major international festival stages, from Coachella to Tomorrowland, including Creamfields, Ultra and Lollapalooza. Alongside his solo releases, Tchami has maintained several lasting collaborations, notably with Malaa in the No Redemption project, which pursues a rawer, more dancefloor-oriented register. His production work also involved contributions to Lady Gaga's projects, notably Artpop (2013) and Chromatica (2020). With Year Zero, released in 2020, Tchami brings these different strands together in a long-format record that sits between house, electronic pop and more introspective textures, while remaining music conceived for the club.
