A-Trak

Born Alain Macklovitch, A-Trak is a Québecois DJ known for blending electro with hip-hop influences. He rose to prominence as the youngest-ever DMC champion, winning the 1997 title at just fifteen. A prodigy behind the decks, he went on to play sets at numerous parties, sharing the bill with DJs like Q-Bert’s Invisibl Skratch or The Allies. Around the same period, he was spotted in 2004 by Kanye West, who invited him to serve as his DJ at live shows. Alongside his musical career, A-Trak has also collaborated with brands such as Nike and Artoyz’s Kidrobot. A prolific artist, when he isn’t working on remixes he releases EPs in collaboration with other well-known figures on the electro scene. In 2012 he released “Money Makin’” with Dillon Francis. In 2013, he kept the momentum going, releasing the EP “Tuna Melt,” followed by a run of concerts, club nights, and festivals.
