Steve Angello

Born in Solna, Stockholm County, Steve Angello grew up in Sweden with Greek and Swedish roots and began very early as a scratch DJ before turning to electronic music. In the early 2000s Angello established himself in house music, drawing on progressive house, electro house and, depending on the project, a more tech-house approach. He first produced under various aliases, then developed a close working relationship with Sebastian Ingrosso, releasing several tracks together, before forming Supermode with Axwell and founding the Size Records label in 2003. His solo trajectory also includes collaborations with Laidback Luke, David Guetta, AN21 and Matisse & Sadko, spanning club tracks and productions designed for large stages. As a member of Swedish House Mafia alongside Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello helped propel the trio onto the international circuit, from Ibiza to Tomorrowland and Ultra. As a solo artist he shifted toward a more narrative, melodic writing style on Wild Youth (2016) and Human (2018), two albums that continue a broad, structured house aesthetic often infused with pop, orchestral or cinematic elements.
