Black Veil Brides

Formed in 2006 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Black Veil Brides coalesced around singer Andy Biersack before relocating to Los Angeles, where the band honed a sound that blends metalcore, melodic hard rock and 1980s-inspired glam aesthetics. They attracted attention on the North American alternative rock scene with their debut album, We Stitch These Wounds (2010), which was strongly influenced by metalcore, and then moved toward a more classic heavy rock on Set the World on Fire (2011). With Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones (2013) the band embraced a cinematic concept-album format, and in 2014 released a self-titled record produced in part by Bob Rock. The lineup — featuring guitarists Jake Pitts and Jinxx, drummer Christian “CC” Coma and, more recently, bassist Lonny Eagleton — revisited their early material with Re-Stitch These Wounds (2020) and pursued a more modern metal direction on The Phantom Tomorrow (2021). A fixture on international rock and metal tours, Black Veil Brides combine dark imagery and theatrical makeup with hook-driven choruses, situated at the intersection of gothic metal, arena rock and glam/emo legacies.
