Halestorm
Formed in 1997 in Red Lion, Pennsylvania, around singer‑guitarist Lzzy Hale and drummer Arejay Hale, Halestorm took its quartet form in the early 2000s with Joe Hottinger on guitar and Josh Smith on bass. The band plays American hard rock influenced by post‑grunge, alternative metal and classic‑rock accents, with a direct sound, tightly structured choruses and a central role for Lzzy Hale's voice. After several years on the road and a few independent releases, Halestorm issued a self‑titled debut in 2009, followed by The Strange Case Of... (2012), Into the Wild Life (2015), Vicious (2018) and Back from the Dead (2022). Halestorm’s career has developed across both rock and metal scenes, alternating energetic tracks, electric ballads and darker songs. In 2013, Halestorm won the Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance for 'Love Bites (So Do I)', a landmark in the band's trajectory.
