All Time Low

Formed in 2003 in Towson, in the Baltimore area of the United States, All Time Low brings together Alex Gaskarth, Jack Barakat, Zack Merrick, and Rian Dawson around a melodic pop-punk shaped by California skate punk and radio-friendly pop rock. Emerging from the high school scene, the band first drew attention with cover songs before releasing The Party Scene in 2005, then joining indie label Hopeless Records with the EP Put Up or Shut Up in 2006. All Time Low then honed a style built on fast guitars, strongly melodic choruses, and lyrics focused on adolescence, life on the road, and relationships, as evidenced by So Wrong, It’s Right (2007) and Nothing Personal (2009). A stint on a major with Dirty Work (2011) broadened their pop-rock direction, before a return to Hopeless and a more balanced sound between punk energy and pop production starting with Don’t Panic (2012) and Future Hearts (2015). The albums Last Young Renegade (2017), Wake Up, Sunshine (2020), and Tell Me I’m Alive (2023) extend this evolution with modern and alternative pop influences, as well as a few targeted collaborations, notably with Mark Hoppus and blackbear. All Time Low remains closely associated with traveling tours like the Warped Tour and an international circuit of venues and festivals oriented toward alternative rock and pop-punk.
