Info
On October 23, 2027, The Fratellis land at The Academy in Dublin for “20 Years of Costello Music”, a set built around the album that put them on the map. Expect that early-2000s Glasgow jolt: sharp guitars, tight rhythms, choruses made to be shouted back, and the kind of garage-meets-power-pop bounce that made their name. It’s a chance to dive back into the raw, direct punch of their debut while hearing how those songs sit next to what came after: the band’s later records stretching the palette toward warmer, sometimes more soulful and even orchestral rock, without losing the melodic snap that defines them.
Opening the night, Trampolene bring their Swansea-bred mix of indie rock, alternative edge and spoken-word bite. Built around Jack Jones’ narrative delivery, their songs switch between taut, driving band moments and more stripped-back passages where the lyrics do the heavy lifting. A support slot that sets the tone: urgent, rhythmic, and very much about the words as much as the noise.
