The Molotovs

Formed in London in 2020, The Molotovs initially brought together siblings Mathew Cartlidge (vocals, guitar) and Issey Cartlidge (bass, vocals), before settling as a trio with drummer Will Fooks. Launched during the period when venues were closed, The Molotovs first made their mark by playing in the streets and parks of the capital, then quickly began racking up shows on the British rock circuit. Their music sits at the crossroads of punk rock, power pop, mod revival and new wave, featuring short formats, taut guitars and a melodic sensibility inherited from late-1970s and early-1980s British rock. Across several hundred dates, The Molotovs have shared bills with artists such as The Libertines, Blondie, Iggy Pop, The Damned and the Sex Pistols. Signed to Marshall Records in 2025, The Molotovs released the singles "More More More", "Today's Gonna Be Our Day" and "Rhythm of Yourself" that year, before issuing the album Wasted on Youth in 2026, produced by Jason Perry.
