Bloc Party
Bloc Party is an English alternative rock band formed in 2003 by Kele Okereke, the group's singer and guitarist. The four members — Kele Okereke, guitarist Russel Lissack, bassist Gordon Moakes and drummer Matt Tong — released two EPs in 2004 titled "Bloc Party" and "Little Thoughts" on the V2 label. Both EPs were hits in British clubs and later across Europe, propelled by the then-popular punk rock trend. The band was also noticed by Franz Ferdinand, who invited them to open his shows. Bloc Party released their debut album "Silent Alarm" in 2005 (produced by Wichita), followed two years later by "A Weekend in the City." In 2010 Kele Okereke focused on his solo career, and the band paused for a time before reuniting and releasing the album "Four" in 2012.
