Info
Currents and Erra bring a double bill to KK’s Steel Mill in Wolverhampton on Saturday 14 November 2026. Currents, from Fairfield, Connecticut, shape a progressive-leaning metalcore built on the push-and-pull between harsh screams and clear vocals, staccato riffing and atmospheric breaks. From the early EP Life // Lost to The Place I Feel Safest (2017) and The Way It Ends (2020), the band has tightened its contrasts and dynamics; The Death We Seek (2023) folds in discreet electronic textures with themes of introspection and social tension.
Formed in 2009 in Birmingham, Alabama, Erra explores the technical, melodic edge of metalcore. Guided by guitarist-composer Jesse Cash and the arrival of vocalist J.T. Cavey in 2016, their path runs from Impulse (2011) and Augment (2013) to Drift (2016), Neon (2018), the self-titled Erra (2021) and Cure (2024), balancing intricate guitar work, complex structures and airier passages.
Opening the night, Leeds outfit Caskets leans into a melodic metalcore and post-hardcore blend built on clean vocals, percussive riffs and synth-laced arrangements, drawing from Lost Souls (2021) and Reflections (2023). Avaiana completes the line-up.
