Boundaries

Rooted in Hartford, Connecticut, Boundaries aligns with the North American metalcore and metallic hardcore wave, delivering a dense sound that fuses razor-sharp riffs, dissonance, and pronounced rhythmic breaks. Active since the mid-2010s, the band has steadily shaped its identity around intensely upfront screamed vocals and lyrics focused on vulnerability, power dynamics, and psychological pressure. A first key milestone came with the EP Hartford County Misery (2017), where Boundaries honed a brutal, compact approach, followed by My Body In Bloom (2019), which opened the writing to more nuanced atmospheres. The 2020 album Your Receding Warmth pushed the metalcore dimension further by combining massive breakdowns, more melodic guitar work, and more expansive song constructions. With 2022’s Burying Brightness, Boundaries introduced sharper contrasts between slow passages, almost ethereal stretches, and very heavy sections, while remaining anchored in the contemporary hardcore scene. The band tours primarily in the United States within metal and hardcore circuits, maintaining a steady pace between shows and new material.
