On 9 December 2026, Eluveitie brings ANV Rising - Europe Pt. III to O2 Ritz Manchester. The Swiss collective led by Chrigel Glanzmann pushes its folk/melodic death alloy on stage: harsh and clean vocals tangled with fiddles, whistles, bagpipes and hurdy-gurdy riding sharp riffing. From Spirit and Slania to Ategnatos, the set moves between acoustic-tinged storytelling and heavier cuts, with lyrics switching between English and reconstructed Gaulish. Their live energy leans on pace changes and tight hooks without losing the grit.
Special guest Pain, the industrial metal project of Peter Tägtgren, plugs cold electronics into punchy guitars and straight-to-the-point choruses, turning studio precision into a thicker, more immediate impact on stage.
Opening, Finland’s Wolfheart, led by Tuomas Saukkonen, carves a melodic death metal steeped in winter moods, balancing tremolo surges, downtempo weight and widescreen melodies drawn from northern landscapes. Three approaches, one bill shaped for contrasts and momentum.
