In Flames

In Flames is one of the major Swedish metal bands and a founding figure of the melodic death metal that emerged in Gothenburg in the 1990s. From their early albums like Lunar Strain, The Jester Race and Whoracle, the band established an emblematic sound, combining fast riffs, finely crafted melodies and a controlled aggression that has had a lasting influence on the international scene. Over the years, In Flames moved toward a more modern approach, incorporating elements of alternative metal and electronica on records such as Reroute to Remain, Soundtrack to Your Escape and Come Clarity, which broadened their audience while sometimes dividing longtime fans. This ability to reinvent themselves is part of their identity and continues to shape their recent discography, from Battles to Foregone and I, The Mask, where the band plays with the balance between melody, power and contemporary production. On stage, In Flames maintains a solid reputation thanks to massive energy, regular world tours and a cohesion built despite numerous line‑up changes around singer Anders Fridén and guitarist Björn Gelotte.
