Beast In Black

Founded in 2015 in Helsinki by Finnish guitarist and composer Anton Kabanen after his departure from Battle Beast, Beast In Black crafts highly melodic power metal that incorporates elements of traditional heavy metal, 1980s pop and synth-driven music close to eurodance. Around Kabanen, the band brings together Greek vocalist Yannis Papadopoulos, Finnish guitarist Kasperi Heikkinen, Hungarian bassist Máté Molnár and Finnish drummer Atte Palokangas, forming an international lineup focused on catchy choruses, fast tempos and a strong use of keyboards. The name Beast In Black and part of the project's imagery reference the manga Berserk, frequently mentioned in the lyrics, alongside themes drawn from fantasy, science fiction, Japanese animation and a visual universe reminiscent of cyberpunk. Beast In Black's debut album, “Berserker”, was released in 2017 on Nuclear Blast and established the band on the European metal scene through opening tours for heavy- and power-metal acts. “From Hell with Love” (2019) emphasized the contrast between rapid guitars, high-pitched vocals and pop influences, while “Dark Connection” (2021) pushed Beast In Black further toward synthwave sonics and futuristic atmospheres, confirming an identity at the crossroads of power metal and contemporary pop culture.
