Info

On July 30, 2026, Wunderhorse bring their North America tour to Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto. Led by songwriter Jacob Slater, the project emerged in 2020 after Dead Pretties and soon settled into a band with Harry Fowler on guitar, Jamie Staples on drums and Seb Byford on bass. Their sound draws on alternative rock with strands of indie, grunge and garage: guitar-led structures, melodic tension, vocals kept close to the grain. After the debut album Cub in 2022, Wunderhorse toured widely with Fontaines D.C., Pixies, Foals, Sam Fender and Declan McKenna, and appeared at Glastonbury in 2023. The second album, Midas, recorded with Craig Silvey in 2024, extends the palette while keeping the writing direct.

Also on the bill, Been Stellar from New York. Formed in 2014 around Sam Slocum and Skyler Knapp, the group moved from Michigan to NYU and solidified in the city with a lineup that traces paths from Los Angeles to Brazil and Sydney. Their indie rock leans on post-punk angles, shoegaze density and pop sense, with abrasive guitars, straight vocals and songs steeped in urban everyday life. Releases include the self-released LP Sells Out (2017), the EPs Nihilist (2020) and Been Stellar (2022), and Scream from New York, NY (2024) produced by Dan Carey. They have shared stages with Fontaines D.C., Shame, Interpol and The 1975.
