Lambrini Girls

Based in Brighton, UK, Lambrini Girls are part of a contemporary punk scene shaped by the legacies of riot grrrl and queercore. Formed in the late 2010s around guitarist-vocalist Phoebe Lunny and bassist Lilly Macieira, the band operates as a stable core complemented by guest drummers, reinforcing an open, collective dynamic. Their music hinges on short, direct songs, an abrasive guitar tone, upfront bass lines, and a chant-like delivery that foregrounds lyrics about queer identities, gender relations, and everyday social tensions. After several self-released digital singles, Lambrini Girls issued the EP "Love Is a Weapon" in 2023 on independent label Big Scary Monsters, cementing a distinctly punk rock direction that balances rhythmic urgency with biting humor. Since then, they have toured extensively across the UK and European independent circuits, often alongside other acts from alternative scenes.
