Wet Leg
Formed on the Isle of Wight in England, Wet Leg is a duo consisting of Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers that crafts indie rock marked by direct guitars, simple melodic lines and vocals often halfway between spoken and sung in a detached tone. After separate early musical ventures — Rhian Teasdale notably performed under the stage name RHAIN — the two musicians founded Wet Leg in 2019 and signed with the British label Domino Recording Company. The band gained attention in 2021 with the single “Chaise Longue,” whose writing relies on humour, repetition and everyday imagery, before following up with tracks like “Wet Dream” that confirm a sound blending indie rock, contemporary post‑punk and abrasive pop. The debut album “Wet Leg” was released in 2022, shaping a world where sharp riffs, immediate choruses and disenchanted lyrics coexist within short formats. On stage, Wet Leg performs with an expanded lineup and quickly appeared on the bills of venues and festivals across the UK, Europe and North America, asserting an identity in which the duo’s dynamic remains central to the songwriting and the project’s image.
