Blondshell

Under the name Blondshell, Sabrina Mae Teitelbaum has developed in Los Angeles a songwriting approach that blends indie rock, alternative rock, grunge and touches of folk, marked by a strong sense of direct melodies and thick guitars. Born in New York in 1997, she initially released music under the alias BAUM, in a style more oriented toward alternative pop and dark pop, notably with the EP Ungodly in 2018. The Blondshell project took shape in 2022 with the single “Olympus”, followed by “Kiss City”, “Sepsis” and “Veronica Mars”, which introduced a more frontal writing style and a sound nourished by the aesthetics of 1990s independent rock and Britpop. Blondshell released a debut album, Blondshell, in 2023 on Partisan Records, then toured with Suki Waterhouse, Horsegirl, Porridge Radio and Liz Phair, while appearing on stages such as South by Southwest and Austin City Limits. In 2025, Blondshell released a second album, If You Asked for a Picture, which extends this formula between rock tension, restrained choruses and precise observations of relationships, confirming the evolution begun after her BAUM period.
