The Beaches

Born in the Toronto neighbourhood of the same name, The Beaches established themselves as a rock quartet made up of Jordan Miller, Kylie Miller, Leandra Earl and Eliza Enman-McDaniel, active on the Canadian scene since the mid-2010s. After an early phase under the name Done with Dolls, the project developed a sound blending alternative rock, indie rock and power-pop accents, driven by riff-heavy guitars, a compact rhythm section and straightforward choruses. The Beaches released a self-titled EP in 2013 and Heights in 2014, placing the band in a space that mixes 1970s rock heritage, garage energy and new wave touches. Their debut album, Late Show (2017), consolidated this direction with songs focused on relationships, friendship and everyday urban life. The band followed with the EP The Professional in 2019 and Future Lovers in 2021, compiled the same year as Sisters Not Twins (The Professional + Future Lovers), before shifting toward a more pop-rock approach on the 2023 album Blame My Ex. Regularly touring across North America, The Beaches deliver a tight live interplay in which each musician has a clearly defined role, extending on stage the direct, melodic aesthetic heard on record.
