Mentissa
From Denderleeuw, Belgium, the Belgian–Congolese singer Mentissa Aziza, known as Mentissa, became known as a teenager through francophone and Dutch-language talent shows. Winner of The Voice Kids Belgique in 2014 and later a contestant on The Voice of Holland in 2019, she gained a stronger foothold on the francophone pop scene in 2021 with The Voice France, where she reached the final on Vianney's team. Building on that exposure, she developed a French-language repertoire blending pop, variété and touches of soul, with songs focused on coming of age, family, doubts and romantic relationships. The single "Et bam", co-written with Vianney in 2021, marked the start of an ongoing recording activity and led to a first album, "La vingtaine", released in 2022. On stage, Mentissa performs solo in Belgium and France and occasionally joins Vianney on tour; her concerts emphasize voice, lyrics and restrained pop arrangements, between ballads and more uptempo tracks.
