Slimane
Born in Chelles (Seine-et-Marne, France) in 1989 to a family of Algerian origin, Slimane Nebchi, known simply as Slimane, is part of the francophone pop and R’n’B scene, with songwriting strongly influenced by the French chanson tradition. After several appearances on talent shows around the turn of the 2010s, he established himself in 2016 by winning the fifth season of The Voice : la plus belle voix, launching a career built around soul ballads, mid-tempo pop songs and high-profile duets. Slimane released his debut album À bout de rêves (2016) the same year, followed by Solune (2018), where he refined a style that mixes direct melodies, urban pop arrangements and intimate lyrics. A major milestone was his collaborative project with Vitaa, the album VersuS (2019), followed by an extensive tour and numerous stage collaborations. Returning to a more personal format, Slimane released Chroniques d’un cupidon (2022), continuing to explore themes of love, family and spirituality. A regular on major francophone stages, he alternates arena tours, festivals and television appearances, and represented France at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with the song “Mon amour”, extending the European reach of his vocal universe and songwriting.
