Maëlle

Born in Tournus in Saône‑et‑Loire, Maëlle Pistoia first became known to the wider public in 2018 when she won season 7 of The Voice, after competing in Zazie’s team. Trained on piano from childhood, Maëlle has since positioned her work within contemporary French song close to pop, featuring pared‑down melodies, restrained arrangements and a measured vocal delivery. In 2019 she released the single “Toutes les machines ont un cœur”, composed and produced by Calogero to lyrics by Zazie, and later that year issued the album Maëlle, which also includes “L’Effet de masse”, “Le Pianiste des gares” and “Sur un coup de tête”. This first phase established a repertoire centered on intimate, narrative songwriting. In 2020 Maëlle joined the troupe Les Enfoirés and in 2021 assisted Zazie on The Voice All Stars. After several years of relative discographic discretion, she returned in 2023 with “Flash”, which she wrote and composed, followed by the album Fil rouge, which extends her anchoring between pop and chanson while giving clearer prominence to her personal writing. Since 2024 Maëlle has been touring to promote this second album on the Fil rouge Tour.
