The Magician

Under the name The Magician, Stephen Fasano has developed an electronic project from Belgium that emerged after he left the duo Aeroplane, which he had founded in Namur with Vito de Luca between 2007 and 2010. As a solo artist from 2010 onward, The Magician moved toward melodic house infused with disco, electronic pop and 1980s references, producing smooth, groove-centered tracks with prominent vocal choruses. This identity took shape through the monthly Magic Tape mixtapes launched the same year, and through the Peter and The Magician project with Yuksek, which produced releases such as the Twist EP (2011), Memory (2012) and the On My Brain EP (2013). The Magician also released notable singles including “I Don’t Know What to Do” (2011), “When the Night Is Over” (2013), “Sunlight” with Years & Years (2014) and “Tied Up” with Julian Perretta (2017), while producing remixes for artists like Lykke Li, Clean Bandit and Years & Years. After the EP Renaissance (2020) and Club Fever (2022), The Magician released the album VOYAGE in 2024 on Potion Records, his label, continuing a career split between clubs, festivals and pop‑dance collaborations.
