Gorgon City

Formed in north London, Gorgon City brings together Kye Gibbon and Matt Robson-Scott, two producers who initially worked under the names Foamo and RackNRuin before developing this joint project at the crossroads of British house, deep house, garage and an electronic pop built around guest vocals. Gorgon City emerged in the early 2010s with The Crypt EP in 2012 and Real EP in 2013, already showing a taste for precise, restrained club tracks focused on groove while retaining accessible songwriting. The year 2014 marked a first turning point with the singles “Ready for Your Love” with MNEK and “Here for You” with Laura Welsh, followed by the album Sirens the same year. Since then, Gorgon City has evolved its formula between dancefloor-oriented productions and more melodic songs, as on Escape (2018), Olympia (2021), Salvation (2023) and Reverie (2024). Over the course of their career the duo has collaborated with artists like Klaxons, Jennifer Hudson, Vaults, Duke Dumont, MK, DRAMA and Sofi Tukker, while remaining connected to the British and later international house and electronic scenes. For Gorgon City, clean basslines, garage-house rhythms and vocal hooks remain the common thread of a repertoire conceived for both club play and attentive listening.
