Klangkarussell

Active since 2011, Klangkarussell unites Austrian producers and DJs Tobias Rieser and Adrian Held, who trained in Salzburg in a scene shaped by German-speaking house and electronic music. The duo attracted attention with the instrumental single "Sonnentanz" in 2012; a vocal version featuring British singer Will Heard was released in 2013, anchoring Klangkarussell in a melodic deep house register at a moderate tempo. Their debut album, Netzwerk, released in 2014, develops this aesthetic by playing with pop-leaning structures, supple basslines and airy synth pads — situated between house, accessible electronica and downtempo touches. Since then Klangkarussell has alternated between single releases, remixes and DJ-set tours, with a consistent focus on progressive atmospheres and long builds rather than immediate effects. The duo's productions favour catchy melodies, frequent guest vocals and carefully worked transitions that ease the move from radio format to club context, enabling Klangkarussell to appear on a variety of stages across Europe and beyond.
