Elderbrook
Born in London as Alexander Kotz, Elderbrook initially developed a musical practice in indie and folk before turning to electronic music in the mid-2010s. He emerged in 2015 with the EPs Simmer Down and Travel Slow, which already showcased a prominent vocal writing style and a sound sitting between melodic house, UK garage, soft techno and electronic pop. His early tracks, including 'How Many Times', quickly established him on the British scene, and collaborations with Gorgon City and remixes for other artists broadened his audience. In 2017 he teamed with CamelPhat on the track 'Cola', which brought him international visibility and a Grammy nomination in the dance category. The rest of his trajectory confirms this orientation between song and club, with collaborations notably with Rudimental on 'Something About You', Bob Moses on 'Inner Light' and with Diplo. His album discography includes Why Do We Shake in the Cold? (2020), Little Love (2023) and Another Touch (2024). On record and on stage, Elderbrook combines soulful vocal lines, danceable rhythms and airy electronic textures in a format that moves between concert and club culture.
