Hayden James

Based in Sydney, Australian producer, singer and DJ Hayden James has been developing since the early 2010s an electronic music that sits between melodic house and vocal pop. Spotted by the label Future Classic, Hayden James released his eponymous debut EP in 2013, which yielded the single “Permission to Love” and established him within the new Australian electronic wave. He followed with “Something About You” in 2014 and “Just a Lover” in 2016, tracks that honed an aesthetic centred on mid‑tempo grooves, warm basslines and a pronounced focus on vocals. In 2019 Hayden James released his first album, “Between Us”, built around collaborations with various singers and designed to move between club settings and more pop‑oriented formats. In 2022 the second album, “Lifted”, extended this approach by multiplying featured artists and accentuating house and dance textures. A frequent presence on club and festival stages in Australia, Europe and North America, Hayden James alternates DJ sets and live formats, placing vocals and melodies at the heart of accessible electronic writing oriented toward the dancefloor.
