Marmozets

Formed in 2007 in Bingley, West Yorkshire, Marmozets brings together two sibling pairs: Becca Bottomley on vocals, Jack Bottomley on guitar, Sam MacIntyre on bass and Josh MacIntyre on drums. Initially active as The Marmozets, the band circulated a series of early EPs, including Out of My Control (2009), Passive Aggressive (2011) and Vexed (2012), before signing with Roadrunner in 2013. Marmozets developed a nervous rock sound situated between math rock, post-hardcore, alternative rock and punk, characterised by angular riffs, pronounced tempo changes and songwriting that alternates abrasive tension with more direct choruses. This identity took broader form on The Weird and Wonderful Marmozets (2014) and on Knowing What You Know Now (2018), released after a period slowed by Becca Bottomley’s health issues. Over the years Marmozets have shared stages with numerous British and international rock acts and played festivals such as Glastonbury, Download, Reading and Leeds and Rock Werchter. After a break, Marmozets relaunched activity in the mid-2020s with a new cycle of concerts and the announcement of Co.War.Dice. for 2026.
