Boston Manor
Formed in Blackpool, England, in 2013, Boston Manor initially emerged on the British pop-punk scene as a five-piece, delivering songs that combined punk energy, emo melodies and straightforward choruses. After the EPs Here/Now (2013), Driftwood (2014) and Saudade (2015), Boston Manor signed to Pure Noise Records and released their debut album Be Nothing in 2016. The band refined its approach on Welcome to the Neighbourhood (2018), where the early pop-punk gave way to a darker, tenser and more atmospheric brand of alternative rock. That trajectory continued with Glue (2020) and the EP Desperate Times Desperate Pleasures (2021), followed by the albums Datura (2022) and Sundiver (2024). Over the years Boston Manor also recorded a cover of Twenty One Pilots’ “Heathens” for the compilation Punk Goes Pop Vol. 7 in 2017. Led by Henry Cox’s vocals, Boston Manor crafts a sound at the intersection of punk rock, emo-pop and alternative rock, with songwriting that grew harsher and more urban from the late 2010s onward.
