Kid Kapichi
Formed in Hastings on England’s south coast, Kid Kapichi belong to a British rock scene where punk, alternative and post‑punk blend with songwriting rooted in everyday life. The band—Jack Wilson, Ben Beetham, Eddie Lewis and George Macdonald—have developed an abrasive yet melodic sound marked by massive guitars, a near‑spoken‑word vocal delivery and lyrics that confront local politics, precarity, social frustrations and mental health. After several singles and EPs in the late 2010s, including Sugar Tax (2019), Kid Kapichi released their debut album, This Time Next Year, in 2021, establishing an aesthetic between arena‑style anthems and social chronicle. The follow‑up, Here’s What You Could Have Won (2022), pushed this critical vein further and features a collaboration with Bob Vylan. In 2024 Kid Kapichi returned with There Goes The Neighbourhood, continuing their examination of urban life and the tensions within British society while consolidating the band’s presence on the independent rock and punk stages in the UK and Europe.
