unpeople

Formed in London in 2023, unpeople initially brings together Jake Crawford, Luke Caley, Meg Mash and Richard Rayner in the wake of Press to Meco's split, before Em Lodge joined on bass in 2024. The band moves between alternative rock and alternative metal, with songwriting that blends melodic tension, massive guitars, direct choruses and hints of grunge, punk rock and nu metal without confining itself to a single register. unpeople launches its first phase with the single Smother in 2023, then releases the EP Unpeople in 2024, a short format that lays the foundations of its sonic identity. On stage, unpeople quickly established itself in the British rock circuit with appearances at Bloodstock Open Air and the 2000trees Festival in 2024, as well as supporting Hot Milk in the United Kingdom. The band then continues this trajectory with a European tour alongside Vukovi in 2025. Driven by two guitarists-vocalists, unpeople develops a collective dynamic where voices respond to each other and where the efficiency of alternative rock meets a more abrasive energy drawn from modern metal.
