Cassyette

Born in Chelmsford, Essex, Cassyette—real name Cassy Brooking—trained in London before launching her solo project in 2018, following work as a DJ and songwriter. Her writing sits between alternative rock, metal, emo and electropop, crafting songs that combine melodic choruses, abrasive guitars and electronic textures without confining her to a single scene. This hybrid aesthetic emerged across her early singles and with Sad Girl Mixtape in 2022, leading up to her debut album This World Fucking Sucks, released in 2024. Along the way she’s collaborated with other rock and heavy artists, notably Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes on Off with His Head (2021), and she is credited as a writer on Bambie Thug’s Doomsday Blue (2024), where her voice also appears in support. On stage Cassyette has stood out in a variety of settings, from Download Festival to Reading and Leeds, Slam Dunk, Glastonbury and Riot Fest, while touring with acts like My Chemical Romance, Sum 41, Simple Plan, Bring Me the Horizon and Yonaka.
