Fit For A King

Formed in 2007 in Tyler, Texas, Fit For A King develops a metalcore sound rooted in the American Christian metal scene while reaching out to a broader audience. After a self-released debut, Descendants (2011, later re-recorded), Fit For A King signed with Solid State Records in 2012 and shaped its career around a series of studio albums that gradually defined the band's identity: Creation/Destruction (2013), Slave to Nothing (2014), Deathgrip (2016), Dark Skies (2018), The Path (2020) and The Hell We Create (2022). Fit For A King's style relies on alternating screams and clean vocals, heavy rhythmic guitars, prominent melodic passages and emphatic breakdowns, drawing on both modern metal and post-hardcore aesthetics. Their lyrics address faith, inner tensions, personal traumas and human relationships through an often introspective lens. The band tours extensively across North America and Europe, securing a lasting place in the international metalcore circuit—from clubs and mid-sized venues to specialized festivals.
