Alesso

Born in Stockholm in 1991, Alessandro Lindblad records electronic music under the name Alesso, focusing on progressive house with an increasingly prominent pop side over the years. Trained in piano from childhood, Alesso turned to electronic production as a teenager and began making waves on the Swedish dance scene with the Alesso EP in 2010. His career gained momentum in 2011 when Sebastian Ingrosso supported his early DJ appearances and collaborated with him on “Calling,” which later became “Calling (Lose My Mind)” with Ryan Tedder. In this early period Alesso also produced notable remixes such as Nadia Ali’s “Pressure” and OneRepublic’s “If I Lose Myself,” while refining a melodic, expansive and direct sound designed for large clubs and festivals. Tracks like “Years” with Matthew Koma, “City of Dreams” with Dirty South and Ruben Haze, and “Under Control” with Calvin Harris and Hurts continued that trajectory. A regular on stages such as Coachella, Ultra, Tomorrowland and Creamfields, Alesso released his debut album Forever in 2015. Since then he has alternated between dance-oriented productions and more pop-leaning songs, notably with Tove Lo, Hailee Steinfeld, Anitta and Zara Larsson.
